Two Loganville Teens Arrested for Rash of Car Break-ins

Two 17-year-olds from Loganville have been charged with several counts of entering autos.

(Please note an arrest does not constitute a conviction.)

Last week two 17-year-olds from Loganville were arrested and charged with several counts of entering auto. Walton County Sheriff's Deputy Lt. Kirk McLeroy said the break ins took place in and around Richmond Place in the Loganville area of Walton County, close to the Gwinnett County line.

"A man was out walking his dog and called authorities," McLeroy said. "Both suspects ran, but one was caught. The second one was arrested later that morning.

Charged in about 20 cases of entering auto, according to McLeroy, are Justin Browning, 17, and Michael Head, 17, both of Loganville. McLeroy said that most of the charges stem from car break-ins that occurred on Aug. 8.

"They went from car to car checking which ones they could get in," McLeroy said. "Which is why people need to lock their cars and not keep valuables in them."

Jail records indicate that neither teen is still in jail at this time.
