Independence Day Celebration and Town Green Dedication

Dedication:  July 3rd @ 5pm - Ray Nunley Pavilion on the Town Green
Parade:  July 4th @ 10am on Main Street
Grand Marshal: Joyce Nunley, in honor of Mayor Ray Nunley
Celebration:  July 4th @ Noon to 2pm on the Loganville Town Green

History will be made as our late Mayor Ray Nunley's vision for a downtown focal point will come to life.  He looked forward to seeing the Town Green transform into a place for our citizens to enjoy time together, talent to thrive and businesses to grow.  I have no doubt he will be smiling down on Loganville and giving a great Ray Nunley chuckle as he watches his City Manager and dear friend, Bill Jones take the stage as the first person to speak from the Ray Nunley Pavilion.  The Pavilion will be dedicated in Mayor Nunley's honor during a dedication event taking place on July 3rd at 5:00pm.  July 4th will kick off with a fantastic patriotic parade winding through downtown Loganville.  The Independence Day parade will begin with a presentation of the flags via the American Legion Post 233 Color Guard.  The Color Guard will stand tall as the City of Loganville's Town Green American Flag is raised for the first time.  Loganville Police Department's SGT Dustin Peterson will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.  The parade will feature local civic groups and clubs, businesses, city officials, pageant title holders and much more.  Spectators, parade participants and friends are invited to congregate on the new Town Green following the parade.  The City of Loganville will offer free hot dogs (sponsored by Great Western Meats, Ingles Loganville and Chick-fil-A Loganville), grilled up by Loganville F.D.  Various groups will be set up as vendors during the celebration to offer a variety of food, drinks and activities (see list below).  The first song to be sung on the stage at the Ray Nunley Pavilion will be the Star Spangled Banner, performed by Gwen Cantrell.  The first band to perform at the new Town Green will be Funky Bluester.  We are thankful for all our participants, performers, volunteers, employees and citizens for making this Celebration one that we know Mayor Ray Nunley would have expected.
Enjoy the entertainment from the Funky Bluester while enjoying a treat from our Fire Department or one of our vendors.  Be sure to visit our Kid's Zone where you can play cornhole, climb a rock wall, ride a swing, jump in a bounce house, break a board, learn karate techniques and many other activities!
