Sign marking exit to Georgia Gwinnett College was missing an 'n'

A sign pointing the way to Georgia Gwinnett College gets a failing grade for spelling.

One of the “n’s” was missing from a sign on Ga. 316 directing motorists to Georgia “Gwinett” College at the Collins Hill Road exit near Lawrenceville.

The Gwinnett Daily Post said the Georgia DOT wasn’t aware of the mistake until contacted by the newspaper Tuesday afternoon.

The newspaper said a resident posted a photo of the mistake on its Facebook page.

A spokesperson said a new sign was expected to be installed next week.

A DOT spokesperson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the mistake was made by a separate contractor.

The sign was installed on June 20 when the new Collins Hill Bridge was opened, according to reports.
