OBITUARY for Mr. John E. Slack, of Loganville, GA

John Earl Slack, age 46, of Loganville, GA, died November 27, 2013.

Beloved husband, father, son, uncle, nephew, brother, friend, love of my life and true hero to all who knew and loved him passed away in his families arms after a courageous fight with a sudden illness. John was born on April 6, 1967 to Paul H      Slack and Lucille P Slack of Salt Lake City, Utah [both deceased]. He married Kimberly Ann Slack [49] on February 18, 1989 in Rose Park, Utah. John had recently been baptized and confirmed Catholic and renewed his wedding vows with Kimberly in a Wedding Blessing ceremony at the St Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville Georgia. John and Kimberly had 3 sons: Jaysen David Nielsen [31] born April 6, 1982 [from Kimberly's 1st marriage], Stephan John Slack [25], born March 30, 1988, and Markus Lee Slack born March 27, 1991 – February 9, 1997 [passed away from Neuroblastoma].

John loved playing the electric guitar and had an equal passion for flying model helicopters. He was gifted with his hands and a genius when it came to fixing things. He loved his family above all and enjoyed spending time at home with them. He was our families rock when we needed strength and our heart when we needed his love. Especially after the loss of our son Markus. His legacy will live on through those of us who had the privilege of having him in our lives.
