I love mastiffs!
Your Beliefs
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for you to inject your beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that your beliefs are on the record will cause you to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know.

Politics
How would you describe your political beliefs? It depends on the issue. I lean left sometimes; I lean right others.
Are you registered with a certain party in Connecticut? No.

Religion
How religious would you consider yourself? Spiritual.

Local Hot-Button Issues
What do you think are the most important issues facing the community?
Environmental preservation; youth development; fair housing; elderly care; and animal rights.
Where do you stand on each of these issues?
The 17 miles of coastline and other natural resources in Milford should be preserved.
We should value our youth, teaching them how to live responsibly and respect all others.
Everyone is entitled to a safe and clean home.
The elderly should be treated with decency and respect. Stop and have a conversation with a senior citizen! Take care of your parents as they grow old!
Animals should be admired and appreciated as part of our world. They have much to teach us -- if we would only take the time to watch and listen.
Part Two: Short Bio
A Milford resident, I have 25 years of reporting and editing experience at Greenwich Time, The Advocate in Stamford, and the New York Post.
Although I've done my share of so-called high profile reporting and editing (World Trade Center attack, John F. Kennedy Jr.'s fatal plane crash, Kosovo War Zone, etc.), the stories I enjoy reporting, writing and editing most are the ones about ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
