Charges Filed in Accident that Killed 2 Teens From Grayson

Gwinnett Police have filed charges of DUI against the Loganville man who was the driver of the other vehicle, but he has not been charged with vehicular homicide since the DUI was not related to the cause of the accident.

Charges have been filed against people in two of three vehicles involved in a wreck Saturday that killed two teens from Grayson.  According to a press release from Gwinnett County Police, the accident is still under investigation, but so far charges have been filed against the drivers of two of the vehicles involved, although not related to the accident. The driver of the car that was hit head-on by the vehicle the Grayson teens were traveling in was later arrested and charged with DUI, but police report that did not contribute to the collision. Three Walton County Residents Die in Crashes Over Weekend

A 15-year-old Loganville High School student and a 24-year-old motorcylist from Loganville are among those killed in three separate accidents.

Three traffic accidents in Walton and Newton counties this past weekend resulted in the death of a Covington and a Monroe resident as well as two Loganville residents, including a 15-year-old Loganville High School student. According to a Georgia State Patrol spokesman, LHS student Madison Young died Sunday afternoon after an ATV accident on Mount Ena Church Road, half a mile east of Jack’s Creek Road, in Walton County. The Honda Rancher Young and 15-year-old Katie Kennedy of Monroe were riding left the roadway in a curve on the right side, struck an embankment and then a tree. Alcohol Suspected Factor in Fatal Traffic Accident

One person died, two others in critical condition after three-car collision on Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

A three-car collision has left one person dead and two others in critical condition, according to the Gwinnett County Fire Department. A detective said that accident investigators suspect alcohol played a role in the crash.  Emergency personnel responded to a call last night around 8:30 p.m. of a three-car auto accident with vehicle entrapment. The incident happened on Jimmy Carter Boulevard near Rockbridge Court in unincorporated Norcross, according to a news release. Det. J.R. Flanagan of the Gwinnett County Police Department said that a car traveling eastbound on Jimmy Carter Boulevard swerved, crossing over the median and striking a car head-on.
