Gwinnett County Public Schools announces names of South Gwinnett High School's 2012-2013 valedictorian and salutatorian.
There are 80 missing children listed in Georgia, and several are from Gwinnett County.
The state Department of Education released the first results from the new Georgia College and Career Ready Performance Index on May 7. Among high schools, the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology scored the highest at 99.8.
Ten local high schools made the list, including Grayson High School which ranked at No. 1943 on the list.
The Georgia High School Association meet was held May 2-4 in Jefferson, Ga. Mill Creek High School took top honors.

Gwinnett County Public Schools will split a $10,000 prize with Cobb County's Ford Elementary.
Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology also is ranked No. 3 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
In total, 17 students from Gwinnett County were awarded this honor.
The tour stops in the metro Atlanta entertainment venue on August 4. Tickets go on sale May 3.
A student from Parkview High received "Best of Show. The student art exhibition runs April 19-21.
