'Christmas in Loganville 2013 Tour of Homes' to Be Held Sunday

The tour features five homes and is presented by the Loganville Woman's Club.

The Loganville Woman's Club is presenting the 2013 Christmas Tour of Homes this Sunday (Dec. 8) from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Five homes are featured on the tour, and they include:

  • The English-style home of Larry and Jan Garner: Their home rests on 16-acres and is decorated throughout, even around the pool. "As you enter, you will be greeted by a dramatic curved staircase and a 12-foot tree decorated in glass ornaments given by friends and family throughout the years," according to JoAnn Morris with the woman's club.
  • The country-style home of Ken and Susan Boss: Described as having "breathtaking" views from the front porch, the home overlooks a 300-acre farm. Guests are also allowed to tour the Boss Brothers Country Store.
  • The European-style home of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Munsey: This home in Tara offers charm and warmth as soon as tour-goers enter the Munseys' two-story foyer.
  • The ranch-style home of Frank and Edith Benson: This cozy residence will have guests "returning to the Old South" as they see the Bensons' collection of Civil War artwork, the Tara-like Victorian dollhouse and nativity scenes from all over the world.
  • The home of Betty Forrester: Also known as Miss Betty, Forrester has a home that showcases period family treasures, collectibles and decorates that have been passed down through the generations.
Tickets are $15 per person. Proceeds from the tour will go to the Loganville Woman’s Club Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships for seniors at Loganville High School and Walnut Grove High School.

For ticket information, contact Judy Scruggs at 770-913-8618, JoAnne Morris at 770-466-8496, or visit www.facebook.com/LoganvilleWomansClub. Tickets also may be purchased on the day of the tour at the homes or Boss Brothers Country Store, located at 3084 Highway 78 in Loganville.
