Yard Sale to Support Community Children in Need Friday

Today is the last day of the yard sale in the gym at the First Baptist Church of Loganville in support of Loganville Community Ministry Village.

Today is the last day of the at the  The proceeds go toward the Loganville Community Ministry Village – a wonderful resource for children’s needs.  John Sauers, who serves on the board, gave a brief explanation of just what this organization does to serve the local community.

“This year we will handle over 3,000 counseling case with no one ever turned down for financial reasons. To date we have had over 150 sexually abuse children pass through our Child Advocacy Center which does all of the forensic testing at our location by high tech hook up with the major center that have doctors at the other end,” Sauers said. “Highly skilled nurses work on our end to provide the examinations which eliminates children being sent away from their home area for as much as a full day. We provide foster care support, mentoring and the list goes on.  LCMV is a non-profit so we are constantly raising money to help out. The Yard Sale is just one of many events to raise money.”

The yard sale will continue until 3 p.m. Friday in the gym at First Baptist Church of Loganville at 680 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville. For more information on the ministry, go to
