Happy Tails to Brighten Your Day

Some of the pet adoptions we've featured have been ones that really tug at your heartstrings. Well, here are some happy tales from Bliss Animal Haven in Loganville that tell the rest of the story.

Over the months we've featured several pets looking for a forever home after being rescued by in Loganville. These stories are usually sad tales of neglected and abused pets who had almost given up on ever living a decent life. But that was before the founders of Bliss Animal Haven came into their lives.

With a belief that not only are animals also able to feel bliss, but that they are entitled to it, Jesse Romer and her partner Nancy Holdren have made it their life's missions to help as many animals as they can achieve that bliss. Most of the stories are tragic, at least starting out. But through the compassion and care of the staff at many of these stories really do have a happy ending.

Who could forget , the severely abused . Romer said Naiyah's spirit was so sweet that she was even considering using her as a therapy dog. In fact, as the shelter for rescued pets most in need approaches its 3-year anniversary, it can boast of 269 dogs and cats rescued and adopted since April 1, 2009. What is so special about Bliss is that most of the animals rescued are ones that would otherwise never be considered adoptable. They are injured and ill animals that require special care and compassion. Bliss Animal Haven gives them that care.
