Former Brookwood High School student Amanda Weir will compete in this afternoon's 4x100 meter freestyle.

Brookwood's Amanda Weir will compete this afternoon, the first full day of the 2012 Olympics.  

Weir, a Brookwood graduate, will compete in the 4x100 meter freestyle alongside Natalie Coughlin, Missy Franklin, Jessica Hardy, Lia Neal and Allison Schmidt.

She won six silver medals in the 2004 Olympics, nine World Championship medals and two gold medals in the Pan-American games.
