One Loss for No. 1 Grayson Knocks it out of Football Top 10

Norcross No. 3, Grayson unranked in latest state rankings released by Georgia High School Football Daily.

Grayson's 22-7 loss to Parkview last week in high school football was costlier in the rankings than you might have thought.

The Rams, who were ranked No. 1 nationally by many media outlets, tumbled completely out of the state top 10 in Class AAAAAA in the weekly rankings released Monday by the Georgia High School Football Daily and Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"Is that too harsh?" GHSFD's Todd Holcomb asked in his weekly "Poll Talk" blog on ajc.com.

Previously unranked Parkview moved into the top 10 at No 10. Camden County is the new No. 1 in Class AAAAAA.

In other changes in involving Gwinnett teams:

--Norcross, which beat former No. 5 North Gwinnett 31-21 last week, moved up to No. 3 in Class AAAAAA. North Gwinnett fell to No. 9.

--Buford, which beat Hancock Central 43-0 Friday, fell from No. 3 to No. 3 in Class AAA.

--Greater Atlanta Christian, previously ranked No. 6 in Class AA, fell out of the top 10 after last week's 27-24 loss to Chamblee.
