Updated: Walton Schools Will Have a Second Snow Day

The winter storm expected in Georgia will have a big impact.

Walton County Schools have called off all school activities on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and Wednesday, Feb. 12, according to a post on the system’s website. George Walton Academy said it is also closing school on Wednesday.

The winter-storm forecast for much of north Georgia over the next two days prompted the decision.

Due to weather concerns, school is cancelled for tomorrow (Wednesday, February 12th).  School officials will continue to monitor and evaluate the weather situation and keep parents informed. All after-school activities for Wednesday are also cancelled.  Students are asked to check class blogs for any assignments given during these days that school is closed.

Weather permitting, Monday, February 17th will be a normal school day instead of the planned holiday.
