Sales Tax Holiday for Back To School Shoppers, Just a Little Late for Some

Shoppers can get a break on Aug. 10-11, 2012. Gwinnett schools go back Aug. 6 and Walton students go back on Aug. 13.

Georgia will be offering a sales tax holiday in 2012, but it will be a little late for Gwinnett schools. Walton County students who wait until the last minute, however, will be able to take advantage of the break on sales tax before heading back to school.

According to media reports, Georgia will offer shoppers a sales-tax holiday on back-to-school goods on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10-11. Gwinnett public schools start back on Monday, Aug. 6.
