LHS State Champion Baseball Team Recognized

Loganville city officials recognized the Red Devil state champion baseball team and proclaimed June 15, 2012 as Loganville High School Red Devils Baseball AAAA 2012 State Champions Day in the City of Loganville

On May 27 the Loganville Red Devils AAAA Baseball Team won the state championship and last week the City of Loganville took steps to recognize them for this honor.

At the June City Council meeting on June 14, the coaches and team were recognized for winning their second state championship. June 15, 2012 was proclaimed Loganville High School Red Devils Baseball AAAA 2012 State Champions Day in the City of Loganville.

Mayor Ray Nunley read the proclamation into the record and posed with the coaches and team for pictures.

“These kids have accomplished a lot this year and along with that accomplishment is a lesson to be learned – nothing comes without hard work,” Nunley said. “I hope you take that lesson with you on to college. The harder you work, the luckier you’re going to be. We’re proud of you.”

Nunley also revealed a plaque that read "2012 Boys AAAA State Champions" that was to be placed at the entrances to the Loganville city limits.
