Gwinnett Student Ranks Continue to Swell
Trip and Starling elementary schools and Archer and South Gwinnett high schools already exceed forecast student numbers for 2011/2012 school year.
Gwinnett school enrollment numbers continue to swell with some in the Loganville and Grayson area already over expected totals.
With two counts left before the final day after Labor Day count, enrollment numbers are just 761 below the forecast of 162,459 students. Since the first day of school, Gwinnett County Public School enrollment numbers have grown by 4,739 students – 1,049 of them in the last week.
Officials released the new numbers Tuesday, with a statement that officials expect the final numbers to be very close to predictions. Another update will be given Aug. 29 before releasing the final count Sept. 6. Starling and Trip elementary schools have already exceeded their predicted student bodies as have Archer and South Gwinnett high schools.
