Even without the help of quarterback Nick Schuessler this year, the are headed back to the 7 on 7 tournament. Schuessler is already playing in the SEC at Mississippi State.

According to the Gwinnett Daily Post, the Grayson was runner-up after losing to Byrnes A team in Friday’s qualifiers in Sugar Hill. That was, however, enough to earn a spot in the national tournament in Hoover, Ala., on July 26-28.

In nominating Nkemdiche, the AJC heralded his 18 sacks and the fact that he only allowed 38 rushing yards per game. It also noted that in leading , Nkemdiche rushed for 528 yards and scored 17 touchdowns for the Rams.
