Grayson High Grad Pursues Nursing Dream in Army

Jordan Westbrook is currently a nursing student at Mercer University and in the ROTC program at Georgia State University.

From the U.S. Army ROTC:

As a Grayson High graduate, Jordan Westbrook dreamed of starting a career in the nursing field but also wanted to become a soldier; and because of the Army’s ROTC program, she is currently pursuing both dreams.

Westbrook, who's a U.S. Army ROTC cadet, is currently a nursing student at Mercer University while also participating in nearby Georgia State University’s ROTC program where she is not only receiving leadership and field training, but the Army has also helped pay for her private school education.

“It’s something I really wanted to do, to join the Army,” said Westbrook, who's in her senior year. “There are so many different programs that the Army offers for nurses, from emergency nursing to oncology to working with mothers and babies – there is such a big field that Army nursing can do.”
