Georgia Southern Recognizes Outstanding Students from Loganville

Individual awards were presented to 188 students, including Brittany Duran and Taylor Tyson from Loganville, and various honor societies also recognized new inductees.

STATESBORO, GA (04/18/2013)(readMedia)-- Georgia Southern University's Annual Honors Day Convocation was held at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center recently. Individual awards were presented to 188 students and various honor societies also recognized new inductees.

Held each spring to highlight distinguished students from all disciplines and areas of college life, the following local students were honored:

Brittany Duran from Loganville received the Outstanding Scholar Graduating Senior Award.

Taylor Tyson from Loganville received the Roy F. Powell Creative Writing Award - Non-Fiction.
