GCPS Area Board Meetings Begin With Session at Grayson High

5 Area Board Meetings offer opportunity for community to learn about their school system.

The Gwinnett County Board of Education begins a series of Area Board Meetings this week with the first session scheduled at Grayson High School with District 1 board member Carole Boyce.

The session is scheduled Tuesday, March 25 at 7 p.m. Four similar sessions with other board members are scheduled later.

The meetings are designed for members to update residents on the school system and feature Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks’ annual address on the state of the school district.

District 1 includes the following schools:

Alcova Elementary; Archer High; Bay Creek Middle; Cedar Hill Elementary; Cooper Elementary; Couch Middle; Crews Middle; Dacula Elementary; Dacula High; Dacula Middle; Dyer Elementary; Fort Daniel Elementary; Freeman’s Mill Elementary; Grace Snell Middle; Grayson Elementary; Grayson High; Harbins Elementary; Hooper Renwick School; Lawrenceville Elementary; Lovin Elementary; Magill Elementary; McConnell Middle; Mulberry Elementary; Norton Elementary; Oakland Meadow School; Richards Middle; Rosebud Elementary; Starling Elementary; Trip Elementary; and Winn Holt Elementary.

The meetings are scheduled by electoral districts, but the public is invite any of the sessions. They are all scheduled for 7 p.m. in each school’s theater.

  • District 5 (Louise Radloff), Meadowcreek High, March 27.
  • District 2 (Daniel Seckinger), Central Gwinnett High, April 1.
  • District 3 (Dr. Mary Kay Murphy), Norcross High, April 3.
  • District 4 (Dr. Robert McClure), Shiloh High, April 15.
