Yet Another Leader Emerges In Presidential Primary

In the ever-changing Republican presidential primary race, former speaker Newt Gingrich's star is now rising. What do you think of his chances of winning the Republican nomination?

Although former Massachusetts  governor Mitt Romney has been the most consistent in maintaining a presence in the top tier, there doesn't appear to be a candidate with staying power when it comes to taking the lead in the 2012 Republican presidential primary.

After the rise and fall of Texas Gov. Rick Perry, followed by the same path taken by Georgia businessman Herman Cain, another Georgian looks set to take over the lead. According to Realclearpolitics.com, which gives a running average of all the polls, former speaker Newt Gingrich is in a statistical tie for first place with Romney and Cain. He also is gaining ground while the others are losing. Do you think Gingrich could be the last man standing? Let us know in comments.

Who do you think will be the eventual winner of the Republican Primary for the 2012 presidential elections? Take our poll.
