Work on SR 316 to Require Lane Closures Saturday

Closures are necessary to install new guardrail.

Crews from the Georgia Department of Transportation will be out working on the roads on SR 316 again Saturday.

According to a press release from GDOT, the work from I-85 to Sugarloaf Parkway will begin at 8 a.m., necessitating some closures. These are necessary to complete the installation of new guardrail. Delays are expected and will likely impact northbound traffic on I-85. Motorists are urged to exercise caution or to avoid driving this route if at all possible while the work is under way.

  • Eastbound work, from 8 a.m. to about noon, closing the outside lane of SR 316 from I-86 to Sugarloaf parkway.
  • Westbound work, from 12 p.m. to about 3:30 p.m., closing the outside lane.
