Roadwork May Impact I-85 Traffic

Highway 316 resurfacing scheduled for Friday night.

Work to improve Highway 316 may cause delays for travelers on northbound I-85 Friday night and into Saturday morning.

Beginning Aug. 5 at 9 p.m. and continuing until Aug. 6 at 7 a.m., one to two lanes of Highway 316 eastbound from Herrington Road to Sugarloaf Parkway will be closed for asphalt removal, resurfacing and lane striping. The work will extend the Boggs Road/Pleasant Hill ramp to Highway 316 east to Sugarloaf Parkway.

β€œThis extension will give motorists more room to merge into SR 316. It is a valuable operational improvement and will help weekday congestion in the area,” said Todd McDuffie, Georgia DOT District Engineer in a released statement.
