Update: No Snowtober, But Frost Advisory Issued

Update: Advisory extended to Monday morning. While the Loganville-Grayson area isn't expecting any of the snow the northern states are being hit with, it is expected to be cold enough to warrant another frost advisory.

Update: Advisory extended to Monday morning from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m.

The local area might have avoided the big Snowtober event states further north are dealing with, but the area is cold enough for officials to issue another frost alert.

Both Walton and Gwinnett are again in the frost advisory area. The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued the advisory, which is in effect from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday. Temperatures are expeted to be in the mid to upper 30s with light winds. A frost advisory means frost is possible and precautions are recommended to protect sensitive plants.
