No Burn Day in Gwinnett Saturday Due to High Fire Danger

Conditions make it dangerous to consider outdoor burning.

Although the burn ban has been lifted, the National Weather Service has issued a high fire danger for areas in north and central Georgia that include Gwinnett County and the cities of Loganville and Grayson. As a result, Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services have declared it a No Burn Day, according to the official website.

According to Weather.com, the Special Weather State warns of high fire danger conditions this afternoon due to low relative humidities of 25 percent or less. These humidities are expected for four or more hours this afternoon across all of north and central Georgia except for northeast mountains. Winds will be southeast at 5 to 10 mph. This leads to danger conditions. Residents are urged to exercise extreme caution.
