News From Walton County Seat

The regular meeting of the for July will be at 5 p.m. tomorrow at the board offices at 200 Double Springs Church Road in Monroe.

The meeting will be preceded by an executive session at 4 p.m. to discuss personnel issues.

The BOE is also expected to vote on the tentative FY 2012 General Operating Budget of almost $97 million and a tentative CY millage rate of 11 mills made up of 19.6 mills for maintenance and operations and 2.2 mills for debt service. The superintendent is recommending approval of the budget.

Other items on the agenda include the superintendent’s report, the routine report on monitoring of board performance and the consent agendas.
