News From Walton County Seat

Walton County Board of Education July meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. July 12.

The regular meeting of the for July will be at 5 p.m. tomorrow at the board offices at 200 Double Springs Church Road in Monroe.

The meeting will be preceded by an executive session at 4 p.m. to discuss personnel issues.

The BOE is also expected to vote on the tentative FY 2012 General Operating Budget of almost $97 million and a tentative CY millage rate of 11 mills made up of 19.6 mills for maintenance and operations and 2.2 mills for debt service. The superintendent is recommending approval of the budget.
