“Loganville is a great place to live. I seek re-election that I may continue to be a part of Loganville’s future success,” Curry said. “Having recently retired I can devote more time to the city and it’s residents. I will continue to work with our police and fire departments to keep our city safe.”

Before working as a church administrator, Curry’s business experience included working in the nursery and landscape business, the transportation industry and the insurance business.

Curry's civic experience included; past president of the Villas at Loganville Home Owners Association, past president and founding board member of the Centerville Business Association, past president of the DeKalb Gwinnett Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Vice President Loganville Lions Club and a member of the Walton County Chamber of Commerce. Curry is currently chairman of the Loganville Public Utilities Committee and a member of several other committees. His additional civic training includes the Carl Vinson Institute of Government, Newly Elected Officials Institute, Downtown Development Authorities Basic Training as well as others.

Curry said if re-elected, he would continue to keep taxes reasonable while maintaining services at a good level, he would continue seeking new streams of revenue in order to lessen the burden of taxes on the city’s residents and he would continue to make Loganville more business friendly.

“I will continue to promote wise planning as we attract quality restaurants, retail establishments and entertainment and I will continue to help build new and rebuild our old infrastructure to support our future growth,” Curry said.

Other policies Curry is pledging to continue include the city’s practice of providing parades, festivals and other such family friendly entertainment as well as parks and green space for families to enjoy. Curry said he would work with other elected officials in both Walton and Gwinnett counties to help build a stronger and healthier city.

Curry has been married to the former Nancy Campbell for 36 years. They have two married daughters and three grandchildren. Both graduates of South Gwinnett High School, Curry and his wife moved to Loganville in 2004. They were lifetime members of Rock Bridge Baptist Church and now attend Graystone Church of Loganville.
