Political Experience:     One of the three incumbent councilmen running for re-election, Jerry Price is serving his fourth two-year term on the .

Incumbent Councilman Jerry Price is seeking his fifth term and the first of a full four-year term on the City Council. First elected in 2003, Price is the current vice mayor of Loganville. Prior to retiring in 2001, Price spent most of his life in public service, 34 years of it with the Atlanta Police Department. When he retired from the APD, Price worked as the director of Parks and Recreation with the City of Loganville, also helping out part time with the . Since being elected to the Loganville City Council in 2003, Price has served on several committees, most notably the Public Safety Committee of which he is currently the chairman.

“I would ask the citizens of Loganville to re-elect me to the City Council,” Price said. “I have worked closely with our city departments with an emphasis on public safety.”

Price said he would work to continue to keep the citizens of Loganville safe and believes the public safety departments in the city are doing a good job in that regard.

“I believe keeping our citizens safe and having a quick response time for emergencies is very important,” Price said. “I am proud of the job they do.”

Price has also served on the Finance Committee and the Public Utilities Committee.

“I want to continue to be involved in the process of making Loganville THE place to live and raise a family,” Price said.

Raised in College Park, Price and his wife, Teresa, now live in Loganville. They have three adult children and several grandchildren.
