If Romney is the Nominee, Who Should be his VP Pick?

Now that it is starting to look more and more like Mitt Romney will be the Republican Presidential nominee, who do you think he should choose as his running mate?

With Rick Santorum out, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul unlikely to be able to gain enough ground, it is almost a foregone conclusion the Mitt Romney will be the Republican presidential nominee.Β So if this indeed is the case, who do you think he should choose for his running mate?

Some high-profile conservatives, including former candidate Herman Cain and 2008 VP nominee Sarah Palin, have suggested Alan West. Several other names have been thrown around, however, including Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, Bob McDonald and Bobby Jindal. Who would your choice be? Take our poll and let us know. If your pick is not here, please let us know in comments who you think would be the right choice, and why.

How important is the VP choice to you? Would it be a deciding factor in whether or not you vote for Romney should he be the Republican nominee?
