The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for several north Georgia counties, including Walton and Gwinnett, as dangerous fire conditions are expected this afternoon.

As Hurricane Irene moves north along the Atlantic Seaboard and a cold front clears through Georgia, sustained winds of 15 to 20 mph gusting to 25 mph can be expected this afternoon.

The primary hazard will be dangerous fire weather conditions due to gusty winds.
