City of Grayson Gears Up for Grayson Day 2013

The 34th Annual Grayson Day is scheduled for April 27, 2013

The City of Grayson is gearing up for this year’s Grayson Day, scheduled for April 27, 2013. Although there has been discussion about extending it to two days in the future, this year’s is still planned for just a one-day event.

“We put a survey on this year’s application to see how much interest there is in a two day event,” said Laura Paul-Cone, Grayson’s city administrator. “But this year is just one day.”

Paul-Cone said the application is available on the city’s website and the deadline to get the application in is April 1. Grayson Day 2013 is the 34th time the annual event has taken place in Grayson. This year’s grand marshal is scheduled to be Chaunte Lowe, the Grayson High School teacher who is a three-time Olympian.
