Can Cain Do It - What Do You Think?

Georgia businessman Herman Cain has moved up in the polls, joining the top tier of GOP primary presidential candidates, after his strong win in the Florida Straw Poll last week.

CNN Politics is reporting that Georgia businessman and primary presidential candidate . Cain garnered 37 percent, more than double the next candidate who, at 15 percent was Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

According to a Fox News national poll, Cain, at 17 percent, is now just two points behind Perry's 19 percent and six points behind the leader, former Masachusetts governor Mitt Romney, who has 23 percent. These are within the polls sampling error.

The poll was conducted among likely primary voters and indicates a gain of 11 points for Cain, a former Godfather’s Pizza CEO and radio talk show host. A poll by CNN/ORC International also shows a gain for Cain, but still has Perry leading the GOP field. Political pundits, however, continue to appear uncertain about Cain maintaining this momentum or being able to beat President Barack Obama in the General Election next year.  A new Rasmussen Poll, conducted by a national telephone survey of likely U.S. voters, has Obama beating Cain 39 to 34 percent in a head-to-head matchup with 14 saying they would go with some other candidate and 14 percent still undecided.

What do you think – Can Cain Do It?

Yes. 39 against 34 percent, with 14 percent undecided, is a win-able situation. People who know Cain like him better than Obama; with national attention, he would win. Everyone should check out his website -- hermancain.com -- to examine his policies. They make sense, and they will work. He should be the nominee, and he should be the next President.

I know he's popular in Georgia - and apparently now Florida - but what about nationwide? I was more than a little surprised though to see Actress Janeane Garafol's statement that Cain's candidacy is a racist plot. Huh! http://www.theblaze.com/stories/janeane-garofalo-wonders-is-herman-cain-being-paid-by-racists-to-run-for-the-presidency/

What we have lacked for too many years is someone who actually knows how to manage something. Most have been politicians who have never had to meet a payrole. This man has, and not only that, honestly, has the midas touch. Every time he has been hired, it has been to turn a company around to overwhelming success each time. Common sense solutions from the common man. Sounds a bit like "honest Abe" to me! Btw...when I hear the name Janeane Garaofalo, I say, "Jane who?" She so irrevalent. I doubt that anyone of substance pays her any attention. IMHO.

To Sharron or whoever thinks Cain is just regional (with the internet is there any regional anymore?) Check out this article from the Walllstreet Journal. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204226204576599031274832242.html

Thank you Charles, great read. Mr. Cain certainly has an impressive resume. Common sense is an amazing concept!

THink about it....it's the MEDIA that puts these other two out front and gives them tons of face time. There's a reason why the right has been termed the "SILENT MAJORITY". I sure hope I'm right. If he convinces Rubio to run with him, there'll be no stopping a team like that.
