Hunter Defeats Beaudreau in Gwinnett County District 3 Runoff

Challenger Tommy Hunter narrowly defeated incumbent Commissioner Mike Beaudreau in the Runoff Election on Aug. 21.

Gwinnett County District 3 will have a new commissioner in January. Challenger Tommy Hunter narrowly defeated incumbent Commissioner Mike Beaudreau in the Aug. 21 Runoff Election. With absentee ballots not yet included, and 38 of 39 precincts counted, Hunter got 4,577 or 50.31 percent of 9,098 votes cast. He told supporters he was looking forward to spending time with his family. He said, however, he was still a District 3 resident and would be holding Hunter accountable.
