WCSO Get Their Man

Two suspects arrested following a botched burglary and wreck.

A botched burglary and wreck resulted in the arrest of two suspects just off Sandy Creek Road east of early Thursday afternoon.

According to Chief Deputy Bruce Wright of the , a lady arrived at her home on Round Rock Road to find two suspects walking out of her home with a television. When they saw her, they jumped into their vehicle and fled. She followed to try and get a tag number.

"While she was following the hatchback on the vehicle came open and four TVs fell out," Wright said. "She followed about half a mile or so to Sandy Creek Road. It was when they attempted to take that turn onto Sandy Creek that they wrecked. They jumped the ditch and the car flipped over."

Wright said one suspect was apprehended immediately and the other one ran, but was picked up a short time later.

"We're still interviewing them and I don't have their names at the moment," Wrights said. "We will look at other burglaries in the area and see if there is any connection."

Wright said there were still other items in the car that were from the home so one of the charges would be burglary. He wasn't sure yet where the suspects were from or what other charges might follow.
