Warrant Sweep by Gwinnett Sheriff's Deputies Included Loganville and Grayson Areas

During a Jan. 15, 2013 sweep by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's, deputies cleared 42 warrants and arrested 34 people.

During the evening and early morning hours of Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a warrant sweep in an attempt to clear some of the outstanding warrants. According to a press release from GCSO public information officer Lt. Sean Smith, about 40 deputies, working in teams of two participated in the sweep.

"There were approximately 381 outstanding warrants, or 299 persons wanted (some persons had more than one warrant/charge)," Smith said in the release. "During the operation 179 attempts were made, 42 warrants were cleared and 34 persons were arrested."

Smith confirmed that areas of Loganville and Grayson were included in the warrant sweep.
