Walton Sheriff's Office: Mud-Bogging Draws Citations

Zone 1
 
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Jersey Walnut Grove Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration. No arrests were made during the safety check.
 
Safety Checks – Several safety checks were conducted by Walton County deputies. The safety checks resulted in over ten arrests.
 
Zone 3
Damage to Property – Walton County deputies cited three for Reckless Driving after mud-bogging in the area of Jones Woods.
 
Theft – An iPhone and a pack of Pall Mall cigarettes were taken from a residence on Anna Marie Lane. A suspect has been identified.
 
Zone 5
Extra Patrol – Gun shots were heard in the area of Morgan’s Run. Extra patrol was requested.
 
Theft – A four-wheeler was taken from a residence on Mitchell Rd. The key to another four-wheeler was also taken.
 
Recovered Item – A Honda ATV was recovered near Mitchell Rd.
 
Zone 6
Abandoned Vehicle – A Ford Expedition was towed after being abandoned on Hwy 78 @ New Hope Church Rd.
 
Theft – Tools were taken from a residence on Centerville Rosebud Rd.
 
Theft – Speakers and amps were taken from a residence on New Horizon Drive in the Wagon Trail Mobile Home Park.
 
Zone 7
Shoplifting – Jennifer Jolley was arrested after shoplifting from the Dollar General on Hwy 81.
