Usher Stepson Critically Injured in Lake Lanier Collision

The 11 year old was in an inner tube when hit by a man driving a jet ski.

The stepson of superstar entertainer Usher is in critical condition on Friday afternoon, according to media reports.

Kyle Glover, 11, and a 15-year-old girl were being pulled in inner tubes by a boat when they were hit by a man piloting a jet ski. The children were life-flighted to Children's Healthcare at Egleston Hospital, according to 11alive.com. The entertainment website TMZ.com cited a source as saying Glover remains unresponsive and is in critical condition.The accident happened on the south end of the lake near Van Pugh Park, according to reports.

A Department of Natural Resources spokesperson said it is too early to tell if any charges will be filed, and that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

Glover is the son of Usher's estranged wife Tameka Foster. The entertainer, an Atlanta-area resident, reportedly chartered a plane for Foster to be by her son's side.

AJC.com reported that the DNR said the man on the personal watercraft and the children tubing were part of the same group on an outing at the lake.

This incident comes just three days after the , who were killed in a Lake Lanier boating collision in June. Also in June, in an accident involving a boat propeller.

Several of Usher's associates in the entertainment world have taken to social media for support.

Music mogul Russell Simmons said on Twitter, "Praying that Usher and Tameka's son is OK..."
