Police: Stolen Tow Truck Used to Steal Cars Abandoned During Snow Storm

A man using a tow truck reported stolen in Loganville was arrested for stealing abandoned cars in the aftermath of this week’s crippling snow storm.

According to a report by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Louis Mitchell, Jr., 34, faces multiple charges, including five counts of auto theft.

The AJC reported that a suspicious APD officer noticed an unmarked tow truck pulling a car in southwest Atlanta on Thursday. The officer, Jamael Logan, followed the truck until it crashed, and the driver fled on foot.
