Third Man Arrested in Bay Creek Park Armed Robbery

Two men from Loganville have now been arrested in connection with an alleged armed robbery that took place at Bay Creek Park in Loganville.

Editor's Note: One or more names in this report have been redacted in light of additional documentation provided regarding this case.

A third man, Michael Cortez Green of 983 Creek Bottom Road, Loganville, has now been arrested in connection with anHe was picked up on June 18 and has joined James Darnell Peace, also of Loganville, in the Gwinnett County Detention Center. Both are being held without bond, facing charges of armed robbery.

The armed robbery charges stem from an incident that allegedly took place near the skate park at on May 18. (removed) is alleged to have accosted a victim at gunpoint as soon as the lights in the park went out, demanding that he turn over everything he had. The victim turned over a pack of cigarettes, a pocketknife and his hat before the men took off. Witnesses reported that these men are suspected in other robberies in the area. A spokesman with Gwinnett County Police Department said Green was the third man under investigation in this incident.

The following Loganville and Grayson residents were booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center between June 1 and 8. The information comes from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department Docket Book. These individuals have been charged with, but not convicted of, the crimes listed.

  • Joey Daniel Vaughn, of 2064 Dogwood Dale Drive, Loganville, was arrested and held for court.
  • Pramand Shan Bhagwant, of 2548 Hard twist Drive, Grayson, was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and expired tag.

June 3

  • Kendrick LaMorris Thompkins, of 8272 Red Rose Lane, Loganvile, was charged with driving under the influence (alcohol), DUI – less safe and failure to maintain lane.

June 4

  • James Darnell Peace, of 2990 Burton Ridge Court, Loganville, was charged with armed robbery and making false statements.
  • Malik Ejike Emeka Anders, of Apt. 410 2945 Rosebud Road, Loganville, was charged with driving while license suspended/revoked and speeding.
  • Naajia Ijaaz Bancroft, of 2561 Farmstead Court, Grayson, was charged with violating probation.
  • Georgia Marie Hammond, of 1652 McConnell Road, Grayson, was charged with simple battery.
  • Michael Dennis Myers, of 655 Tribble Creek Drive, Grayson, was charged with violating probation.

June 5

  • Kelvin Collins, of Apt. 602 2935 Rosebud Road, Loganville, was charged with DUI (alcohol) and speeding.
  • D’Monica Monay Reed, of 2592 Corey Park Drive, Loganville, was charged with simple battery.
  • Mark Anthony Ross, of 185 Leighs Grove Way, Grayson, was charged with not obtaining a Georgia license after being a resident for 30 days, no proof of insurance and speeding.
  • Michael Cedric Galloway, of 1958 Pinehurst View Court, Grayson, was charged with open container, obstruction, and possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce).

June 6

  • Omdutt Gobin Mahes, of 802 Autumn Meadow Drive, Loganville, was charged with DUI – Alcohol, failure to have license on person, loitering and possession of open alcohol container.
  • Melanie Ann Payne, of 2091 Vintage Oaks Drive, Loganville, was charged with disorderly conduct.
  • Laura Faye Daniel, of 3005 Brookstone Lane, Loganville, was charged with vehicular homicide and failure to obey traffic device.
  • Stanley Moise, of 4393 Beaver Tree St., Loganville, was charged with obstruction of law enforcement officer.
  • Andrea Natalie Luby, of 2167 Pixie Rose Lane, Loganville, was charged with insurance fraud.
  • Lex Anthony Luby, of 2167 Pixie Rose Lane, Loganville, was charged with false report of a crime and insurance fraud.

June 7

  • Osena Desinor, of 978 Winding Down Way, Grayson, was charged with shoplifting (less than $300).
  • Ivan Alexander Kipp, of 683 Hope Hollow Lane, Loganville, was charged with pointing a gun or pistol at another and simple battery.
  • Jacob Brandon Hendrix, of 2520 Lois Court, Loganville, was charged with not obtaining a Georgia license after being a resident for 30 days, driving on a suspended/revoked license and failure to appear.
  • Emery Mikel Gant, of 4393 Prather Pass Drive, Loganville, was charged with driving while license suspended/revoked, expired or no license plate or decal and failure to maintain insurance.
  • Katheryn Denise Elliott, of 314 Annslee Circle, Loganville, was charged by theft by deception and theft by taking.
  • John Allen Roper, of 320 Randy Road, Loganville, was charged with failure to appear.
  • Christopher Michael Garner, of Lot 14 5370 Highway 20, Loganville, was charged with theft by shoplifting.

June 8

  • Ryan Matthew Farrel, of 1345 Old Loganville Road, Loganville, was charged with pedestrian under the influence on roadway and standing on roadway to solicit a ride.
  • Matthew Warren King, of 186 Hawe Lane, Loganville, was charged with violating probation.
  • Sean Tyron Williams, of 1707 Virgil Moon Road, Loganville, was charged with driving while license suspended/revoked and equipment used improperly-excessive noise.
  • Marcel Marcarius Orelus, of 4405 Grove Lake Court, Loganville, was charged with driving on a suspended license, failure to use child restraint, seatbelt violations and violation of probation.
  • Christopher Scott Robin of 4044 Lake Carlton Road, Loganville, was charged with safety belt violation (adults) and for violating probation.
  • Jimmy Lee Brooks, of 1505 Haynes Court, Grayson, was charged with violating the Georgia Controlled Substance Act – Schedule 1.
