Snake Starts Fight in Health Center

The incident occurred at the New London Health Center in Snellville.

A Snellville woman alleged that a nurse made threats against her after they were involved in an argument at a hospital over a snake. 

According to the Snellville Police report, the incident started on a recent Wednesday when the woman was visiting her ailing mother at the New London Health Center in town. The woman explained that at about 10:40 p.m., she heard loud screams outside her mother's room.

She went to see what the noise was about and was told by one of the nurses that they found a snake in the facility and it startled them.

According to the woman, the two began arguing and went their separate ways. When she returned to her mother's room, she overheard the nurse saying that her shift ends at 11 p.m. and "we will see what [that woman] has to say in the parking lot," according to the report.

The woman felt so threatened that she called her husband and sister to come and "protect her."

Police interviewed the nurse, who told the same story but insisted that she made no threat to the other woman.

The report says that there was not enough evidence to obtain a warrant for an arrest of charge.
