Sheriff's Office Reports: Election Signs Removed at Several Places in County

Walton Sheriff's Office reported signs for Board of Education candidate Charles Wilson were stolen.

Zone 1                 
  • Stolen Vehicle – A vehicle was taken from Sunset Auto off Hwy 138. The vehicle was found in Conyers after it was involved in a vehicle accident in the Rockdale County area.
 
Zone 2                
  • Burglary Report – A residence on Amber Stapp Studdard Rd. was burglarized. Several items were taken from the residence. A suspicious white Ford Ranger was seen in the area.
  • Damage to Property – A Chevrolet pickup truck drove through a fence at a residence on Knox Chapel Rd. The vehicle was gone when Walton County deputies arrived.
 
Zone 3                
  • Extra Patrol – Vehicles were seen speeding past stopped school buses in the Mt. Vernon Rd. area. Extra patrol was requested.
 
Zone 4
  • Entering Auto – Items were taken from an unlocked vehicle at a residence on Parklake Court.
 
Zone 5
  • Suspicious Person – A large group of people were reportedly walking down Forest Drive in the Forest Falls subdivision. Subjects were gone when Walton County deputies arrived.
  • Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bay Creek Church Rd. @ Piney Grove Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrests were made during the traffic stop.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Oakmont Way in Oakmont subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Zone 6
  • Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Centerhill Church Rd. @ Green Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Arrests were made during the traffic stop. One arrest was made after a foot chase.
  • Theft – Election signs for Charles Wilson, candidate for the Board of Education district 2, were reportedly stolen from various locations throughout Walton County.
 
Zone 7
  • Entering Autos – Multiple vehicles were entered at Diesel Technology Source on H D Atha Rd. Several items were taken from the vehicles.
  • Arrest – Terry Thompson was arrested for DUI, Speeding and Improper Passing while driving on North Broad St.
