Sheriff's Calls: Aggressive Driving and Road Rage; Juveniles Ringing Door Bells; Car and Foot Chases

Zone 1
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Lake Walton Blvd. in Lake Walton Estates. All appeared secure.
 
Vehicle Fire – A vehicle fire was reported on Hwy 81 at Habersham Circle.
 
Zone 2
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested at a business on Adamson Drive in reference to suspicious vehicles driving through the parking lot.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Leggett and Platt Parkway. All appeared secure.
 
Suspicious Person – Benjamin McCroskey was arrested after a vehicle chase and two foot chases. He was charged with Reckless Driving, Driving with a Suspended License, Fleeing with an Attempt to Elude, DUI, and Open Container.
 
Damage to Property – A resident found two cuts in his fence located at his residence on Parkview Drive.
 
Zone 3
Theft – Medication was reportedly taken from a resident at the Hollinder’s Senior Living facility off Hwy 78.
 
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Jones Wood Rd. at Mt Carmel Church Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration. No arrests were made during the safety check.
 
Arrest – Brandy Whiltow was arrested at the Chevron on S Broad St. at Atha St. for an outstanding warrant.
 
Area Check – A complainant reported that her door was unlocked and the lights were turned on at her residence after returning home. Walton County deputies checked the residence and nothing was observed missing.

Zone 4
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Partain Rd. at Shockley Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration.
 
Zone 5
Burglary – A television and a firearm was reportedly taken from a residence on Grady Smith Rd.
 
Stolen Vehicle – A blue Mitsubishi Lancer was reportedly taken from a residence on Tipperary Circle.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to several alarms at a business on Troy Smith Rd. All appeared secure.
 
Arrest – Phillip Gunter was arrested after a dispute on Bullock Lane in the Bullock Ridge subdivision. He was later arrested in reference to an outstanding warrant.
 
Prowler – A subject was reportedly observed around a residence on Azalea Drive. The residence was checked by Walton County deputies. No one was found.
 
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bay Creek Church Rd. at Old Zion Cemetery Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration.
 
Burglary – The back door to a vacant residence on Highlands Blvd. in the Highlands subdivision was found kicked in. New appliances were taken from the residence. Extra patrol has been requested.
 
Arrest – Kimberly Boss was arrested for DUI on Bay Creek Church Rd. at Bay Creek Spur.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Richmond Place in the Richmond Place subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Zone 6
Theft – A weed eater was taken from a barn located on Milton Bryan Drive.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Southern Hills Drive in the Southern Hills subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Juvenile Problem – Juveniles were observed ringing door bells at residences on Thomas Drive.
 
Burglary – Two bicycles were taken from an outbuilding on North Sharon Church Rd.
 
Found Property – A bicycle, not belonging to a resident, was found in a basement located on Spring Court in Cedar Lake Estates.
 
Theft – A lawn mower was taken from a residence on Broadnax Mill Rd.
 
Arrest – Danielle Sitton was arrested on Tom Brewer Rd. for two outstanding warrants.
 
Dispute – A subject reported that he was assaulted by another subject while at the Rock Quarry on Anslee Lane.
 
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 20. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Weslyan Lane in the Cevera Lakes subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Yorkshire Court in the Yorkshire subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Memory Lane in the Grandview Estates subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Zone 7
Road Rage – John Daniel was arrested on Hwy 138 for Aggressive Driving. John Daniel was in his 18 wheeler truck driving very closely to another vehicle. When the vehicles stopped, Daniel exited his truck in the middle of the road and approached the other subject’s vehicle. Daniel was seen banging on the window of the subject’s vehicle. Walton County deputies arrived and arrested Daniel.
 
Theft – Several items were taken from a truck located at a residence on Atha Woods Drive in the Atha Woods subdivision.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Silver Thorne Court in the Silver Thorne subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
