Second Teen Charged In The Murder Of A Loganville Teen

Both are charged in the shooting death last month of Angelo Larocca. Police say drugs were a factor.

A second teenager is in custody in connection with the shooting death of Angelo Larocca, of, last month at a Lilburn-area apartment complex, according to Gwinnett Police.

Police spokesman Cpl. Ed Ritter said in an emailed release Thursday afternoon that Hunter Mason Davis, 17, and Brandon Mosley, 19, of Lilburn, are both are being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond. Both are charged with murder and aggravated assault, according to jail records. The address for Davis is given as 1310 Compton Woods Drive in Snellville but it is unclear at the moment whether it is a Snellville or Loganville address.

The two are suspected in the , at the Columns at Paxton Apartments in unincorporated Lilburn. Larocca’s body was found in a stairwell of one of apartment buildings shortly after “two or three” gunshots were heard by neighbors.

On Wednesday, a police spokesman confirmed that had been arrested and charged. He was booked at the detention center early Wednesday morning.

Davis, who resides on Compton Woods Drive in Snellville, was booked just after noon Thursday, according to jail records.

A release from the Gwinnett Sheriff’s Department said that Davis turned himself in Thursday after his father met with deputies and agreed to help have his son surrender.

According to Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Stacey Bourbonnais, Davis is accused of arranging a drug transaction and being present during the shooting.

According to Gwinnett Police, Larocca had arrived at the apartment complex with three friends some time before the shooting. Larocca was not a resident of the complex, and police say the friends have been cooperative in the investigation. Larocca’s body was found around 1:50 p.m. June 28 by an off-duty officer, who called in the incident.
