Second Man Arrested in Animal Cruelty Case Involving Emaciated Dog

The dog's snout was tightly taped shut, and its mouth was swollen and bleeding when police found it.

The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a second person in connection with a March animal cruelty case, in which a dog was found emaciated and with electrical tape wrapped tightly around its snout.

Sheriff’s office public information officer Shannon Volkodav said in an email Friday afternoon, April 25, that Brandon Kaile Duncan had been charged with cruelty to animals. Duncan, who is listed as a Loganville resident, was being held in the Gwinnett County jail without bond.

The dog’s owner, Antonio Furlow, was arrested on March 27 on the same charge. He was released on bond from the county jail on April 10. Furlow was the dog’s owner.
