Walton School Bus and Mercedes Collide; No One Injured

A school bus driver is expected to be cited after the Walton County Schools bus collided with a Mercedes on Georgia 20 Wednesday afternoon, state police said. No one was reported injured.

The bus, carrying students from and , was turning from Tommy Lee Fuller Drive onto Georgia 20 and hit a Mercedes traveling north on Georgia 20, according to Georgia State Patrol Trooper 1st Class Cal Barton. The bus driver will be cited for failure to yield, Barton said.

Major Greg Warnack of the said it was standard practice for the GSP to work accidents involving county vehicles to avoid any conflict of interest.
