Road Rage Incidents Lead To Charges

Loganville Police Blotter. The following arrest information was supplied by the Loganville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two separate road rage incidents led to disorderly conduct charges last month.

Once incident took place on July 27 and resulted in a 62-year-old Loganville man being charged with disorderly conduct and reckless driving following an altercation in Huntington Ridge subdivision. The complainant reported the subject and he had almost collided while he was backing out of a driveway. He said he apologized but the driver pulled alongside him and began yelling. He said the driver then got out of his vehicle and punched him in the eye through the open window. Police made note of a bleeding cut above his eye.

The complainant said the subject then left at a high rate of speed. When he was located, the subject said he’d intended to just complain but the other driver had attacked him and he had retaliated after he’d been struck. However, police couldn't find any visible sign he’d been struck. They also questioned his account of the incident, which allegedly wasn’t consistent with some of the facts. He was cited and released.
