Reports: Football Player Wanted in Dorm Burglary is 5-Star Recruit

The recruit is innocent, his high school coach said.

The football player wanted for burglary at a University of Georgia dormitory last weekend is reportedly a 5-star recruit with offers from many of the country’s top programs.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported an arrest warrant for felony burglary was issued by UGA Police for Darnell Salomon, a wide receiver from Hialeah, Fla. Salomon, who has offers from Georgia, Alabama, Florida State, Clemson and LSU, among others, is considered one of the top prospects in the country.

Salomon is accused of entering a Busbee Hall residence of two female students through an unlocked door Saturday morning, July 19, and stealing a wallet, credit cards and iPhone 5. The women were reportedly awakened during the incident.
