Police: 'Ya'll Know I'm Drunk,' DUI Driver Says

He also reportedly said that he would "blow about a forty."

A Loganville man arrested last week on a DUI charge made some interesting remarks to authorities.

According to the Loganville Police report, an officer traveling on Highway 81 pulled over the Chevrolet around 6:45 p.m. after noticing the vehicle repeatedly driving in the oncoming lane.

The driver, 31, immediately exited his vehicle and intially told authorities that he didn't have a license. He later produced one, though.

The officer could smell alcohol in the driver's breath, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and his speech was slow and slurred. When asked if he had drank any alcohol, the driver said "some," the officer wrote in the report.

Pointing toward a nearby apartment, he also repeatedly kept saying that he lived "right there." The officer later found out he no longer lived there.

At one point, the driver agreed to a field sobriety test, which he failed. During the one leg stand, he was unable to balance on one foot. And in the walk and turn, he was unable to stay in the start position, he began the test before he was supposed to, he took the wrong number of steps, and he unable to maintain his balance.

He kept changing his mind about doing a breathalyzer, too. At first, he refused, but after being arrested, he said he would take the test. He was sent to the Loganville Police Department, where he didn't want to take it again, then he changed his mind, again. Authorities set up the test, but then he backed down once more. This time he stuck with not providing one.

While at the precinct, he said he figured he would "blow about a forty." He also reportedly said, "Ya'll know I'm drunk," according to the report.

He was charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane and was transported to the Walton County Jail.
