The man, in his early 40s, was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center and is expected to survive, Gwinnet Police Sgt. Troy Tobler said in a news release. Police said it may have been a drive-by type of shooting.

The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. on the 2900 block of Trotters Pointe Drive near Centerville Highway in unincorporated Snellville.

“It appears that several individuals occupying a vehicle exited it before shooting at the residence,” Tobler said in the release.

Police are looking for a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a black or maroon four-door pickup truck.
