Police: Man Breaks Into Parents' Home, Steals Pressure Washer, Guitar

The couple told authorities that they didn't want to press charges since they were trying to help their son with a possible drug problem.

A Loganville couple say their son broke into their home earlier this month and stole a pressure washer and 1960s Gibson Les Paul Junior guitar.

According to the Walton County Sheriff's Office incident report, the residential burglary occurred off the 5000 block of Logan's Run. The mother called authorities and said her son had entered the residence by forcing open the porch window into a bathroom.

He had been living there at the time, but was in the process of moving out and didn't have a key, she told police. The mother believes he broke into the home when he knew no one would be there.

Authorities interviewed some neighbors who said they witnessed the break-in around 9 a.m. that day. The intruders had a U-Haul truck, too, the neighbors added.

The parents told authorities that they didn't want to press charges at the time since they were trying to get help for their son who had a possible drug problem.

The incident report does not detail if authorities spoke with the suspects.
